Who are we
EPIC is the Business Association of Independent Private Schools of Catalonia, a non-profit organization founded in June 1998 by a group of private education professionals and representatives of prestigious educational institutions with a long-standing tradition in Catalonia.
The association was established with the aim of representing, defending, and promoting the common interests of independent private schools, while contributing to the development and quality of the Catalan education system.
EPIC member schools educate more than 35,000 students across all educational stages, including Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), Upper Secondary Education (Baccalaureate), and Vocational Education and Training (VET).

The association participates in the negotiation of the Collective Agreement for Non-State-Funded Private Education in Catalonia and maintains ongoing dialogue with the Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia to address the needs and concerns of the sector.
The association operates in accordance with its Bylaws, which are approved by the General Assembly of members and registered with the Directorate-General for Labour Relations of the Government of Catalonia.
The Board of Directors is the governing body of the association. Its composition, election procedures, and functioning are regulated by the provisions established in the Bylaws.
