Last Monday, EPIC visited La Miranda International School, an educational center known for its innovative pedagogical project and its commitment to international and multilingual education from the earliest stages.
The purpose of the visit was twofold: on one hand, to get a close look at the school’s facilities, its operations, and the distinctive features of its educational model; on the other hand, to create a space for dialogue and exchange about the current situation of nonsubsidized private education in Catalonia, the shared challenges we face, and the opportunities for improvement and advocacy that we can promote together as a sector.
During the visit, we spoke with the management team about key issues such as the impact of regulations on the recognition of academic qualifications, the institutional acknowledgement of our educational model, the recruitment and retention of families in a changing environment, and the need to strengthen the representation of private schools in front of public authorities.
At EPIC, we highly value these in-person gatherings, which allow us to put a face to the diverse realities within the association and continue building a cohesive community. The exchange of experiences, identification of good practices, and mutual trust are essential to effectively face the challenges ahead.
We sincerely thank the La Miranda team for their openness, generosity, and warm welcome. We leave the visit with new ideas, renewed connections, and the conviction that continuing to work together is the path to growing our sector.
