EPIC is the Association of Independent Private Schools of Catalonia, a non-profit business organisation founded in 1998 that brings together companies operating in the private education sector in Catalonia.
We work to promote, develop and defend free and independent education, contributing to the improvement of educational quality. We represent and safeguard the interests of member schools before public administrations, social partners and key institutions.
EPIC is the only legally recognised business representative and interlocutor for private non-subsidised schools before the educational, labour and administrative authorities of Catalonia.

What do we do?
We represent the business interests of member schools before public administrations and social partners. We also lead the sector’s collective bargaining negotiations.
We negotiate, on behalf of private schools, the Collective Agreement for Private Non-Subsidized Regulated Education in Catalonia.
We defend before the public authorities the principle of free creation and business management of educational companies to achieve a higher level of autonomy for private schools. And to defend the right of the centers to create their own educational models and to manage them freely.
We provide guidance and support on educational and labour-related matters. We assist schools with the interpretation of regulations and the implementation of the collective agreement.
We provide up-to-date information on legislation and developments affecting the education sector.
We maintain ongoing dialogue with the Department of Education and Vocational Training and other key institutions. We also collaborate with public and private organisations linked to the education sector.
We offer full participation and voice to members in all decision points that collectively affect the sector.
We organise conferences, seminars, debates and training activities for school owners, leadership teams and staff of member schools.
