Today, Highlands School Barcelona officially inaugurated the IV phase of its campus, an expansion that reinforces Colegios RC España’s commitment to quality education and the well-being of the entire school community.
The new phase represents an investment of over €2.2 million and adds more than 1,170 m² to the campus, representing a 15% increase in its total area. The new facilities include six base classrooms for Secondary, Baccalaureate, and Primary levels, a modern science laboratory, an art room, a multipurpose hall, and classrooms for small groups, tutoring, and teachers, as well as updated sports facilities that promote the physical and social development of each student.
This infrastructure not only addresses the school’s growth but also strengthens its international and personalized educational model. Students will enjoy modern, creative, and collaborative environments that foster experimentation, research, and critical thinking. Teachers will have versatile spaces that encourage methodological innovation, interdisciplinary work, and more personalized teaching. Families will benefit from enhanced educational quality in a sustainable environment prepared for future challenges.
The project incorporates sustainability measures such as aerothermal climate control systems, façades with thermal insulation, expanded photovoltaic panels, and efficient lighting solutions, ensuring a healthier and energy-responsible environment, aligned with the school’s mission to form citizens committed to caring for the planet.
During the inauguration ceremony, the school director, P. Pedro Castañera L.C., has highlighted: “With this expansion, we reaffirm our vocation to genuinely accompany each student in their academic, personal, and spiritual growth.
